Last friendly match of the season and Highcliffe awaits
The curtain comes down on our friendly seniors match season on Tuesday 15 September, when we head to Highcliffe Castle for the final fixture of the year.
Highcliffe describes itself as “A Little Gem” — a compact course dating back to 1913, where length isn’t the problem but small greens and the need to keep the ball somewhere vaguely near the intended line most certainly can be. Peter Alliss himself praised its charm and the skill needed to get round in a decent score.
In other words, absolutely ideal for the Boundary Lakes Seniors.
Matt will be looking to finish his first season as Captain with a win, and Highcliffe is a cracking place to bring the match season to a close.
