ALTON AWAITS — KEEP THE RUN GOING
And so another away match appears over the horizon, and on Monday 24 August the Boundary Seniors will be packing the clubs, checking the Sat Nav and heading off to Alton.
A quick diary check first: the date has changed from the original fixture due to electrical work at their clubhouse. Presumably they’re installing extra sockets for all the electric golf our boys are going to produce.
Matt’s team remains unbeaten, and we’d rather like to keep it that way. Away matches are always a cracking day out: good golf, great company, a bit of friendly rivalry and eighteen holes of discovering that somebody else’s rough is every bit as difficult to escape from as ours.
So don’t sit at home polishing the putter and waiting to be asked twice. With nearest-the-pin up for grabs, this is one not to be missed. Get your name down and join the travelling Lakes contingent.
